This garden is depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Brecknockshire XXVII, sheet 8 (1888 and 1904). It is dominated by a viewing platform (marked as a Motte on the map and database), with what may have been a kitchen garden to its N, and a small picturesque Victorian garden to the S and E, and a small conservatory on the S of the house.
