This garden is depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch maps of Brecknockshire XXII, sheet 11 (1888 and 1904). On the earlier plan a cruciform path arrangement is shown on the enclosure to the W which appears to have been the kitchen garden. There was a formal arrangement with a pond and rectilinear paths in front of the building on the S.
