Description1. Gardens are first noted here on the OS MS 2-inch map of Brecknocks in the British Library, c 1815. They would appear to have been for extensive food production, probably in association with Llangoed Hall. These are manifest on the 1st edition OS 25 inch plan as a lone wall running N by E to S by W immediately to the south of a large orchard. The survival of a rectangular area to the S of this which appears to have been planted with trees is visible as late as the 1904 edition. The two small residences which now occupy the site are roughly on the alignment of this old wall, which probably originally held horticulturally related potting, forcing and storage sheds.
