This garden is depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Brecknockshire XVII, sheet 15 (1904), when it had several conservatories, parkland, a formal garden, orchard, walled garden, paths, a viewing platform (suggested as motte by OS and excavator P Dorling c 1988). Planning permission was granted (in late 1988) to erect three bungalows within the walled enclosure which they now occupy.
