Description
A modest Victorian/Edwardian sporting lodge (in two parts) on the E bank of the Wye, set in its own wooded landscape with a gate lodge and some paths. Reached from the W bank by an ambitious footbridge. The grounds bifurcated by a railway, it is depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch maps of Brecknockshire V, sheet 1 (1880s,1903). Its main elements on that map include parkland, walk, small walled garden, and grand conservatories at the house since the first edition.
