Site Record

Tabernacl Baptist Chapel was built in 1826, rebuilt in 1857 and rebuilt again in1884. The present chapel, dated 1884, probably incorporates some of the 1826 walling but certainly the round-headed windows on the front south-western longwall facade are likely to be of this date and the central porch from 1884 or later. The rear has plain domestic-style windows and there is a caretaker's house on the opposite side of the road.
