The Welsh Baptist cause in Caergeiliog was formed in 1848 and the first Seilo chapel built in the following year. This was replaced by a new chapel on the same site in 1866 and was still in use in 1999. Seilo is now Grade 2 Listed with the chapel house, walls, railings and gates.
