A quarry lying SW of Sarn Howell Pond. Centred at SO07490580. The working face is on the SE side (NW-facing), spoil to the NW. The quarry appears to have been truncated at its NE end by the subsequent construction of Sarn Howell Pond.

The quarry may have been worked for ironstone or possibly for material to construct the dams of Sarn Howell Pond although, the annotation 'quarry' on OS 1873 suggests that it was in use after the building of the reservoir.
