Soar Independent Chapel was first built in 1858 and later modified in 1891 and 1905. The present chapel, dated 1858, is built in the Classical style of the gable entry type with two storeys. The front facade appears to date from the later reworking and has a mixture of round and flat-headed windows on the upper and ground floors respectively. The bays are divided by double pilasters which support a series of three round-headed arches. In the pediement is a round datestone inscribed SOAR AD 1858.
