1. Sub square bivallate enclosure c.114mx90m, with simple entrance gap to S, 16m wide, slightly inturned. Possible outwork to S flanking entrance. Defensive siting. See long text.
2. Previously undocumented Iron Age defended settlements were revealed from aerial photography taken by the Ordnance Survey in 1975. Before plough-levelling, two of the sites were substantial promontory forts, while the concentric ditches of the third site denote a more lightly defended farm.
