Calfaria Baptist Chapel was built in 1887-88, opening on Sunday 11 March 1888 under the leadership of Rev. Robert Roberts of Seion (NPRN 9020). 58 members from Seion had been released to form Calfaria after Seion's leaders deemed a need for a Baptist chapel in this part of Morriston.
