Description

Remains of a now remote upland farmstead on the north-western escarpment of Mynydd Epynt, once lying on a well-used droving route linking the uplands and market towns of mid Wales. Recorded during Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance.

Description: 3.3km SE of Cefn-Gorwydd, on SE facing slope at head of tributary of Nant Bran. Earth covered ruin: Enclosure; Rectangular; Complete. 11.9m x 7.5m with internal subdivision. 'Yard' to SW: Enclosure; Rectangular; Complete. 34.9m x 16.5m. Set within polygonal field enclosure c145m x 271m, enlarged at later date to W and S resulting in polygonal enclosure 297m x 346m.
