Capel Bethel was built in 1818 and modified in 1839. Two rebuilds occurred in 1851 and 1880, both to the design of the leading Welsh architect Thomas Thomas of Landore. The present chapel, dated 1880, is stone built in the Sub-Classical style with a gable-entry plan, two storeys and tall round-headed windows. Capel Bethel is now Grade 2 Listed as an exceptional pedimented chapel with a complete interior.
