Aggregates quarry, operated by McAlpine between 1956 & 1961 in connection with the Rheidol Hydro-electric Scheme (nprn 91572). Now abandoned. The quarry is approximately 150m E-W by 70m, and cuts across the trackbed of the former Plynlimon and Hafan Tramway (nprn 34686) at the head of the incline.
