Description

Seion Methodist Chapel was built in 1907 in the Romanesque style of the gable-entry type.

RCAHMW, May 2010.

The Guru Nanak Community Centre, latterly the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple, has been housed in the former chapel since at least 2001. The scriptures were delivered to the gurdwara in 2022. Externally the chapel is little altered. The signage above the main doorway in 2022 read: Guru Nanak / Sikh / Community Centre / Swansea and has the khanda symbols.

This record was created by RCAHMW’s Welsh Asian Heritage Project (2023–24), funded by the Welsh Government’s Anti-racist Wales Action Plan.
