Description
The creamery was established in 1914 and grew to become the largest manufacturing creamery in Britain, covering an area of 19 acres; it was rail served from 1930. It was noted in 1947-8 as being operated by Wiltshire United Dairies Ltd. Facilities included a spray drier tower for producing milk powder. Butter was also produced, but not cheese. The site closed in November 1994.

There is a photograph of the building in a privately-owned album of photographs and documents in a scrapbook produced by P. F. Carter to provide a record of the development of the milk industry in West Wales 1928-1961 on page 135; see also People's Collection Wales www.peoplescollection.wales/items/493306.
