Description
Penygist Lead Mine was one the four mines that was drained by Level Fawr Adit (NPRN 33880). The mine was recorded as working in the 1840s and was possibly not reached by Level Fawr until after 1856. The surface remains are limited to an open shaft and set in a refuse strewn crater and associated tips.
