Description
One of a group of platforms located on enclosed land on Mynydd Machen (NPRN 15507). This platform is now located in a dense conifer plantation but the site was formerly described by Ordnance Survey as lying on a south-west facing slope. The terrace hood and platform lip were both 2m high. Plan dimensions (scaled from their map depiction) approx. 20m long north by south by 10m at widest, tapering towards the south. The lip extends a further 10m south and immediately below it was a small subsidiary platform measuring 10m (N-S) by 6m.
