The North Wales Mine Workers Institute opened in 1923 and closed in 2008. It was purchased in 2010 by the Wrexham Muslim Association and converted into a Mosque.

The North Wales Miners' Institute closed in 2008 and was adapted as a mosque and cultural centre after purchase in 2010 by the Wrexham Muslim Association.
