This is a later nineteenth century picturesque 'cottage ornee' associated with the Edwinsford mansion (NPRN 249). It appears from the 1st edition OS County series (Carmarthen. XVI.15 1887) to have been embedded in a landscaped area around a short drive (see NPRN 266173) bypassed the Home Farm complex (NPRN 17442).
The cottage consists of a main one and a half storey range with a single storey parallel range at the rear. The walls are of stone rubble and the main range has a gabled roof that continues over the rear range. It faces south-east where there are three windows with pointed brick heads and three gabled dormers above. This facade has much latticed detail.
