St Gabriel's church is located on the hillside just outside Abergwynfi, overlooking Blaengwynfi. It was built in 1893-4, by G.E.Halliday, in lancet style with a rose window at the ritual west end. It was intended 'for a community which never arrived' and is now derelict.
