Description
Bwlch-Du is a late 18th or early 19th century encroachment smallholding farmstead, built on the edge of the moors. The farmhouse, built of slate rubble, mortared and whitewashed with a corrugated asbestos roof, formerly thatched. It is in two sections; a 2-window living section to the right and a 2-window brewhouse section to the left; a large central chimney divides the two. The brewhouse section is flanked by small, plain late 19th/early 20th century sliding sashes and the main section with similar sashes; there are projecting slate sills throughout.

There are associated outbuildings, now derelict, of dry slate rubble.

Now derelict. This is reported to have remained roofed with heather until the mid-19th century.
