Description
Gardeners Cottage forms part of the estate of Hawarden Castle and therefore falls within it's listed curtilage. It is a detached two-storey cottage with a twin double pitched roof and a shared valley gutter centrally placed. Appearing on the Tithe maps in the mid-nineteenth century it was possibly originally a single -storey building which has been fundamentally altered with both extensions and possibly re-elevation at a later date. There is also evidence that earlier windows have been both removed and blocked and replaced by twelve -pane Georgian sashes.
