The former school and attached teacher's house, were built and probably designed by William Jenkins of Blaenbarthe, Llangoedmor in 1848-9. Built from rubble stone with slate roofs, the former school is a two-storey building with a three-window range of C20 stained wood casement-pairs. The surrounds are chamfered with cut Cilgerran stone voussoirs and slate sills. The door to the left also has a chamfered surround and a triangular Cilgerran stone head.
Togetrher with the Schol House, it was listed as an unaltered part of the village centre and a school building of relatively early date.
