A rectangular concrete anchoring point measuring 2.25m long by 1.7m wide and up to 0.5m high. It has a loop, cut during station dismantling, made of 1½” diameter iron embedded at the northern centre top. Its function was either for masthead or triatic (antenna wire support) wire straining. Such bases were widely used at Marconi stations worldwide.
