Disgrifiad1. Large earthen round barrow 34m in diameter 4.5m high apparently undisturbed. No trace of a ditch. Field Monument warden's visit on 17/07/90 also mentions "Round barrow B" lying 77 paces to SSE - small & mutilated- (this is not mentioned elsewhere and has no separate PRN) (SMR 100549). CPAT SMR, Undated.
2. The main barrow site is as described, 'barrow B and C' as described in NMR (SAM De124) are in fact shooting butts, not barrows. These have been given separate NPRN numbers. P. Schofield, Oxford Archaeology North, 30th November 2004.
