Farmbuilding range at Tir-y-Castell or Castle Farm, depicted on the 1st edition OS County series (Carmarthen. XLII.5 1887). The range has been converted as a tea room for visitors to Carreg Cennen Castle (NPRN 103970).
This is a two storey building with rubble stone walls under a slate gabled roof. At the south end is what appears to be a cartshed with a granary above reached by an external stair. This is taller than the remainder of the range. The centre section is a small barn, its east wall retaining a tall cart entry and a ventilation slit. The northern section is again two storey with an external stair.
Fitted out as a tea room the cart entries have been infilled with more or less picturesque doors and windows. Modern sheds at the rear (west) have also been adapted.
