A small, 30m long quarry, that has been exploited in recent times. The prime use of material from this quarry would have been for either the farm at Frongoch (NPRN: 405543) some 250m to the north, or for the farm at Troed y Rhiw (NPRN: 405541) 450m to the south west. A trackway leading to this quarry branches off from the track linking these two farms.

This feature was recorded by RCAHMW in 2006 as part of a wider study of the Troed y Rhiw area (NPRN: 405578).
