Tramroad formation at Resolven linking the Neath Canal to Resolven Colliery and, possibly, a further tramroad network. The colliery and canal-link tramroad were apparently out of use by the time of the OS 1st edition 25-inch sheet while the latter was still functioning and marked 'Tramway'. It is possible that the still functioning tramway superseded the canal link which went out of use as the colliery closed.
The linking formation began on the south side of the canal at the given NGR, crossed the River Neath and followed a SE course towards the colliery which was located in Cwm Clydach close to Glyn Castell.
