Numbers 1-3 Singrig Cottages are former Vaynol estate cottages built c1864 to replace those of the same name which stood on the other side of Afon Heulyn. These were demolished when the Vaynol estate wall was erected and a new road was constructed alongside. Whilst gabled in loosely C17 vernacular style, they also have an ineteresting garden plan reflecting the triple division of the three properties.
