Dinas Powys Lawn Tennis Club situated on St Andrew's Road is an Edwardian sports club and features several tennis courts and a bowling green. It was founded in 1901. There is a pavilion on the northern tennis court which is an original feature. The bowling club was founded at the same time as a joint venture although a composite name - the Dinas Powis Lawn Tennis and Bowling Club - was not used until 1907. The bowling green pavilion was used as the headquarters of the Home Guard branch during the Second World War.
