Calfaria Baptist Chapel was built in 1862 and rebuilt in 1893 at a cost of nearly 31860. The chapel is built in the Lombardic style of the gable-entry type, constructed of large granite blocks with limestone quoins. There are two arched windows on the front elevation with a large circular window with sandstone tracery and square panes of coloured glass. Between the two arched windows stands a porch supporting the main entrance doors. The roof is of slate with red ridge tiles.
