1. A level from which clay used in the manufacture of bricks was excavated. Now filled-in but the entrance is still visible
(DJP 07/10/94).

2. Clay was carried on a tramroad (nprn 85852) to the brickworks.

4. The level is c15m long and 3-4m wide before it runs into the hillside. The R jamb of the tunnel entrance is just discernible. It is of rubble stone, forms an obtuse angle, and survives to 0.8m high. Named Meadow Vein Level on 1880 Ordnance Survey. Site visited, 2000.05.18/H&H/WH
