Llwyn-y-Meibion, a farmstead standing on a platformed site at O.D.1600ft. on the E. slopes of the hillside to the E. of the village of Bryngwyn. The house was of medieval origin being of cruck constrution, but had been altered in the 16th. century when floors were inserted.
The house has been demolished and for a period the cruck-blades remained on site along with many of the main timbers. A 16th. century framed ceiling has been salvaged and is now reused in Great House, Newchurch. The ceiling has broad chamfered beam with broach stops and plain square joists which are set in alternate directions in each square of the ceiling.
