The garden at Marchwiel is depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Denbighshire XXVIII, sheet 16 (1899). Its main elements on that map include lodge, woodland, walled garden, summerhouse, sewage tank, kitchen garden, sundial, woodland with vista paths, parkland, greenhouses, conservatory, carriage drive and pond. RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 1 August 2005 revealed parchmarks indicating elements of former garden features now buried or re-landscaped.
