This fish trap is part of a complex located on and between Salmon and Pastoun Scars (see NPRN 401681). This fish trap is adjacent to Patsoun Scar, west of NPRN 519283. The two may possibly be part of the same trap. Two parallel stone walls, with evidence for timber posts, are positioned at right angles to the fish trap's main walls, leading to what is thought to have been a cod-end or sluice. These walls sit directly on the peat shelf. It is thought that horizontal timbers were placed between the timber posts, in order to form a cage area.

Event and Historical Information:
The complex was recorded during a number of visits by RCAHMW staff from 1980-2003.
