Libanus Baptist Chapel was firat built in 1858, modified in 1867 and rebuilt/remodelled in 1908. The 1908 chapel was built in the Classical style with a gable-entry plan and two storeys. By 1996 this chapel had fallen into disuse owing to subsidence. Libanus is now Grade 2 Listed for its significance as the mother church of Non Conformism in this part of the Rhondda and for its rich interior.
