Peniel Independent Chapel was built in 1822 and refitted in c.1870. The present chapel, dated 1822, is built in the Vernacular style with a long-wall entry plan and small pane flat-headed windows. Pennal is now Grade 2 Listed as a well preserved early nineteenth century rural chapel.
