Heol-Y-Bala Independent Chapel was built in 1867 in the Classical style with a gable entry plan and tall round-headed windows. A plaque on the exterior explains that part of this building was used as a Sunday School between 1842-69, after which it was converted into a shop. The chapel is still in use (2011)
