St David's is located in an irregularly-shaped churchyard on the south side of Church Crescent (A4047). It was built in 1891 to designs by J.E. Halliday, Diocesan Architect. It consists of Early English nave and lower chancel, and north portch. It is built of rock-faced Pennant sandstone with dressings of yellow Ebbw Vale brick on the outside, red brick on the inside including the moulded chancel arch.
