St Paul's church is located on the south-west side of Pendarvis Terrace. It was built in 1910 at the expense of Sir Arthur Vivian, architect unknown. It is constructed of Pennant sandstone with meagre Bath stone dressings under slate roofs. Of cruciform plan, the church long axis is aligned north-west by south-east, and comprises clerestoried nave and apsidal chancel under one roof, single bellcote in corner between south transept and chancel and gabled vestry to south-east wall of transept, and gabled north-east entrance. The interior features passage aisles, full-height arches enclosing the clerestory windows and exposed grey brick.
