Nine rectangular/sub-rectangular building platforms are situated on enclosed land on the south and east-facing slopes of Mynydd Machen, between 290m and 350m above OD. Part of the area has been afforested.
The platforms are arranged into a cluster of three (NPRNs 225682-225684), a pair (225680-1), and several single examples (91947-9 and 225670).
