Pendarren was built by the Mr. Roberts, J.P. in the late 18th Century, and re-built in 1876 by Andrew Doyle. The house is a substantial Victorian, dressed stone building with patterned bargeboards, ground floor bays and a central pyramidal roofed tower. It has a large garden (Nprn 86094), and outbuildings. In 1972 it was adapted for its present use as an outdoor activities centre for children.
