Cofnod Safle

The farmhouse consists of a former 16th century, stone built, storied house of L shape plan, altered in the mid-19th century and restored in 1970 and 2000 (see NPRN36901).

The stone-built farm buildings,are arranged in a U shaped courtyard to the north of the house, with a further short range beyond.

They appear to be of 18th and 19th century date, but may contain earlier features. The nearest building to the house, has a batter to its south gable end, a steeply pitched roof and two collar trusses, probably built as a stable. A narrower in-line, low range, with a pitched roof, adjoins to north, has three doorways, and was probably used to house calves.
