DisgrifiadLlanelli Town Hall was built in 1894-6 using the designs of Williams Griffiths of Llanelli, the building is of Italianate style with two-storey and basement elevations plus tall centre clock tower with cupola. This particular design was selected from an 1892 competition adjudicated by Charles Barry Jr which was won by Simon and Tweedie of Edinburgh and Manchester. However, their winning design was set aside in favour of the local candidate who won second prize.
