Melin Cadle, a water powered corn or flour mill, is shown on the first and second editions of the Ordnance Survey 25in mapping of 1879 and 1898 but is annotated as disused on the third edition of 1916. It was supplied with water carried in a leat or mill race some 800m long, from the Afon Llan.
