A roughly square area of brick-paved flooring c12 x 10m, very rough and poorly preserved. Machine-made red bricks with frogs, marked 'Tredegar'. In the centre is a mound of building rubble containing brick, stone and concrete. This has been dumped over the shaft. The site is within a fenced enclosure. (on GIS plot)
