An area of undulating topography covered by moorland vegetation, approximately 100m square N of Peggi's Level Tramroad (nprn 85852). Shallow clay pits for the brickworks to the south (NPRN 260702) , clearly C19 as they are indicated on the 1901 OS, by which time they were probably disused.
