Two-storey gentry house dating from the seventeenth-century. The plan of the house comprises two oblong blocks which suggests that it may have been built as two dwellings. Significant feaures noted in the RCAHMW survey of 1957 include part of a mid-eighteenth century staircase in the cellar beneath the south-east block; some early seventeenth-century panelling dated 1638 which was found in the attic; and a re-used tie-beam in the roof which had the graffito 1611.
