The high exterior wall bordering the road is still extant. The ground plan of growing beds and greenhouses has been re-modelled. The greenhouses that were to the east of the cottage have been demolished to extend the cottage. The growing beds to the north of the cottage now contain three greenhouses. The growing beds to the east of the house are now given over to lawn. The property is a private house.

Event and Historical Information:
The nursery gardens are shown on the 1st edition OS map of 1889 adjoining the railway. The proposed development of a resort town of bungalows and houses provided the need for the fresh produce. Sales particulars published by R Gillart & Sons in relation to its sale on 17 September 1897 by the then owner, H J Hughes, described the property as `close to Ynyslas Railway Station, on the Main Line of the Cambrian Railways and within easy access of the London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and other markets; together with the substantial brick built cottage residence, with extensive vineries, cucumber, tomato and peach houses? contained in all an area of 2 acres or 17 perches or thereabouts. This garden has a southerly aspect, is well sheltered from the easterly and northerly winds, and surrounded by high walls. It is well-cultivated, and is so advantageously placed that Markets Gardeners and all others would be enabled at all times to find a speedy transit and ready sale for the produce in the markets in the district as well as to the large towns. The cottage contains the following accommodation: kitchen, parlour, pantry and three bedrooms? a right of way to the well on the adjoining land together with the liberty to draw water there from for use in connection with the gardens, is reserved to and sold with this lot?.
